Picker and Auerbach, CPAs was started in 2009 as a combination of Barry Picker, CPA/PFS, CFP and Zesha Auerbach, CPA. Each practice had been in existence since the late 1970s. Picker and Auerbach, CPAs brings a unique perspective to both businesses and individuals. Barry Picker, besides being a CPA is also a Certified Financial Planner ® as well as an Accredited Estate Planner (Distinguished) ®. Zesha Auerbach has an MBA in accounting and brings a wealth of experience in dealing with business accounting and taxation.
The mission of our firm is bring financial comfort to our clients, with the understanding that each individual defines financial comfort on their own terms.

Zesha Auerbach is a Certified Public Accountant with a Masters in Business Administration with the specialty of Accountancy degree, which he received from Long Island University in 1974. Before joining Picker & Auerbach CPAs, P.C., he had his own practice in accounting which he started in 1977. Over the years he developed a very diversified practice in working with both businesses and individuals. This work now continues in the new firm.
Zesha’s experience has given him expertise in handling clients in the nursing home, wholesalers, manufacturers, construction, real estate, non-for-profit, retail stores, and jewelry industries, including but not limited to, all aspects of accounting, financial statement preparation, business and tax planning and all federal, state and local tax compliance matters. On the individual side, Zesha handles all areas of tax compliance and planning for the wage earner, investor, or business owner. These areas include income tax planning, estate planning, pension planning, and personal financial planning.

Barry C. Picker, CPA/PFS, CFP® is a Certified Public Accountant with the Personal Financial Specialist designation from the AICPA. He is also a Certified Financial PlannerTM licensee, and has a Masters of Science in Taxation from Pace University. Barry is a member of the New York State Society of CPA’s Estate Planning, Employee Benefits, and Personal Financial Planning Committees and has written numerous articles and taught seminars on tax and IRA related topics.
He has appeared on radio and television and has been quoted in numerous publications, including Fortune, Worth, The Wall Street Journal, Investors Business Daily, New York Times, and Newsweek. Barry is the author of Barry Picker’s Guide to Retirement Distribution Planning and the Technical Editor of 100+ Roth IRA Examples & Flowcharts.

David Joined the Meisels CPA firm in 2002 after working at PricewaterhouseCoopers for 5 years. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
David received his BBA in accounting from Yeshiva University – Sy Syms School of Business.

Judah Kunstler CPA Co-Founder

Mr. Kunstler received a BS in Accounting and Information Services from City
University of New York Queens College and he is a licensed and admitted as a
CPA in New York State.He began his career as a staff accountant for the New Jersey Devils hockey
team. He then became a senior auditor at Loeb & Troper, Deloitte
& Touché and KPMG where his clients included The College of Staten Island,
North Shore Long Island Jewish Health System, United Jewish Appeal
Federation, Cablevision and Bertelsmann.
Upon Leaving public accounting Mr. Kunstler was a Controller at 2 startup
companies where he implemented accounting standards, budgets and set up
the financial software. He worked directly with the venture capital investors
where he assisted in securing debt and equity financing.
Mr. Kunstler took on the new position of Assistant Controller at Malca-Amit
USA, an international valuables courier company, where he oversaw a 12-
person accounting department.
Mr. Kunstler worked for 7 years as CFO of Fairway Capital where he oversaw
the operations and finances of over 25 Real Estate funds which included a
portfolio of over 1,600 properties with investments in excess of $200 million.
In 2015, Mr. Kunstler opened Judah Kunstler, CPA P.C., his own tax, accounting
and business services firm. The firm acts as CFO for small businesses offering
full service accounting, tax and consulting on a part-time basis.
In 2019, he merged his accounting practice into Meisels Kunstler Picker and
Auerbach where he is currently a partner in the firm.
